MINNEAPOLIS, MN – This Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Comunidades Organizando el Poder y la Acción Latina (COPAL) and Electrify Everything MN are hosting a hands-on workshop in Spanish to make electrification more accessible and understandable for everyone, regardless of neighborhood or income. The program provides residents with a step-by-step guide to help them develop realistic plans for achieving their home electrification goals.

Home electrification involves replacing appliances that use fossil fuels (like natural gas) with clean electric alternatives. Technologies such as heat pumps for heating and cooling, induction stoves, electric dryers, heat pump water heaters, and insulation are essential for electrifying a home.

This event is an opportunity to learn about incentives and resources and connect with contractors around lowering home energy consumption. Community members will learn how to take full advantage of federal, state, and local economic incentives. The event details are available here. Leaders from COPAL and Electrify Everything MN as well as educators and consumers will be available for one on one interviews on request.
